How to Fund Your Wise Account In Nigeria [Step by Step Guide]

It's no longer news that debit cards issued in Nigeria are no longer accepted on the Wise platform. For the majority of Nigerians, this has made account verification a nightmare since you can no longer fund your Wise account. More so, withdrawing funds from your Wise account directly to your Nigerian bank account has also been suspended indefinitely.

However, as terrible as this may seem, there's still a way out. And in this step by step tutorial, I show you how to legitimately get around depositing funds, as well as withdrawing funds from your Wise account right here in Nigeria.

Without wasting time let's jump right into it.

The first thing you want to do is create an account on binance. That's if you don't already have one. Then go ahead to purchase either USDT or BTC.

Having gotten crypto on Binance, proceed with making an order request on the P2P section to Sell the crypto in exchange for dollars and select to receive payment via Wise.

Note: you will be required to enter your Wise email which is what you use in receiving payment.

Alright, below is the step by step process with screenshots.

1. Head over to Binance P2P section, and change the currency filter to USD.

2. Let's assume we want to sell USDT, so check to see that USDT is selected, then click on Sell. This will reveal all the people interested in buying our USDT.

3. Click on the "Payment method" menu and select "Wise". You might need to scroll through to locate it, click the confirm button to continue.

4. Click on the "Amount" menu, and enter the amount of USDT you want to sell. This will reveal the buyers who are ready to buy the particular amount you have for sale.

5. Then click on "Filter" scroll down to disable the ads from merchants by clicking the toggle icon and then confirm to continue.

6. A list of buyers will be displayed. These buyers are people who will be paying you with dollars through Wise. So go ahead to select a buyer. Ensure that the particular has good ratings. And will not take too long to fund your account.

7. Having identified our potential buyer, click on the Sell button to begin the transaction.

8. Enter the amount of USDT you are selling, and you will see the dollar amount that will be transfered to your Wise account. Look to the bottom right and you will see that the buyer is going to pay you with Wise.

9. Ensure to select your payment method

10.  Click on "Add Wise" and enter your Wise email. The buyer is going to pay you through that email by doing a Wise to Wise transfer.

Finally, after adding your Wise email, proceed and click the sell button. The buyer will be notified. And he or she will proceed to make the transfer to your Wise account. Check to confirm that you have received the fund in your Wise account before releasing the crypto.
